I have been very fortunate to have live recordings of local shows here in Syracuse. These by definition are bootlegs. I am torn about this however. I want to pass along what I have for the benefit of the bands (spreading the word), and for music fans as well. But I dont want to give myself a bad name, or hurt the bands that I have recorded.
Because of this, I am not selling CD's per se, but I would charge between 0.50 cents and $1 to recoup the price of the CD I burned on. Is this inappropriate to do? I only offer this discussion because ultimately I want to spread the musical word of all the bands that I have live recordings of. I wont do anything until I know this is a good thing to do, and not a shitty thing to do. Opinions please!!!
